Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit / Oncology RN – Ohio

Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift (Day/Night rotating shifts available); 13-16 week contract; self-scheduling with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Work in a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds specializing in diverse oncology patient populations
• PCU staffing ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 with mixed acuity;
  Medical/Surgical Telemetry ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Epic charting system with 100 hours of orientation including bedside training
• Float across specialized oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Exposure to advanced oncology skills including chemotherapy administration, port management, and specialized surgical oncology care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of high acuity PCU level or higher experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• OCN and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate preferred
• Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Patient ratio experience managing up to 4 patients
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must be available to complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
