American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2+ years of neuro ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

• Neuro ICU setting within a hospital environment
• 36 hours per week on night shift (3x12, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend shifts are defined as Friday and Saturday nights
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR experience needed

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with strong neuro ICU background preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills required:
  
  IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor;
  Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Provide critical care nursing to neurological ICU patients, including post-craniotomy, post-neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury cases
• Care for patients requiring EVD, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, and spinal cord injury management
• Manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Administer emergency medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage continuous IV sedation
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as the contract is signed due to strict compliance timelines
• First-time travelers will be screened but may be considered
• Former employees eligible for assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
