American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• High-volume facility with 200-300+ births per month
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Epic EMR experience required
• May be required to float

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced (or NCC C-EFM in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, postpartum care, and surgical case support (cervical cerclage, tubal ligation)
• Proficient in fetal monitoring including EFM, spiral electrode placement, and IUPC placement/calibration
• Experience with Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate administration
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher (coworker references not accepted)

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care including neonatal care in the delivery room and circulating/recovering C-section patients
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and support breastfeeding/lactation needs
• Manage pain assessment including epidural anesthesia support
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract, including travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location if within driving distance or completing a mailed fingerprinting packet if at extreme distance
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment only after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments
• RTO must be requested and built into contract at time of submission, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
