American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring 1 year of experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Stepdown/PCU mixed-acuity unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30) at 36 hours per week
• Some weekends required
• Floating within the OSU organization required
• On-call required

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted

• Provide care for progressive care/stepdown patients requiring telemetry monitoring and respiratory support
• Comfortable working in a mixed-acuity progressive care environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at any Ohio State University hospital location
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
