American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 1 year of acute care experience.

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Float to lower acuity units as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• PCU experience not required

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• 1 year of RN experience with strong acute care background
• BLS certification required; ACLS and IV certification required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac), nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management experience
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/PICC line care and management
• Experience with neurological/psychiatric patients and substance withdrawal cases
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN reference is acceptable as the second; coworker references not accepted

• Start and manage IVs and administer medications safely
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment
• Educate patients on treatments and self-care
• Collaborate with the care team on patient plans
• Follow hospital policies and maintain patient safety standards
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after signing contract
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at this health system
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
