American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a PCU Float position requiring telemetry experience and an OH or compact RN license.

• Float pool position within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), may require floating to another OSU-affiliated hospital within walking distance
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, stepdown/IMC, and gastrointestinal cases
• Requires IV start and telemetry monitoring skills
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Weekends may be required

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/stepdown nursing experience required
• Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Additional clinical exposure may include wound care, insulin drip titration, pre/post hemodialysis management, and pre/post neurosurgery care
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
