American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital role requiring 1 year of acute care experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Floating required within OSU facilities

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, with strong acute care background preferred
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with respiratory care, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac), nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including peripheral line care and PICC line management
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with neurological/psychiatric patients and substance withdrawal care
• PCU experience not required
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN may serve as the second reference; coworker references not accepted

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at this facility
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract to avoid delays
