Pay Rate: $170–$175/hour
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12 Hour Shifts Per Week | Full-Time Only | Weekends Included
About the OpportunityA hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular PCU Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month locum contract. This role supports the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/stepdown unit, providing care to patients with cardiovascular needs. Typical patient ratio is 1:10, up to 1:12.
The ideal candidate has strong cardiovascular experience and is comfortable managing a high-acuity stepdown patient population in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities- Provide daily management of patients in the PCU/stepdown unit
- Manage patients with cardiovascular conditions and needs
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient care and progress accurately per hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Active Ohio PA or NP license required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience required (no first-time locum providers)
- Cardiovascular experience required
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Full-time candidates only
- Hospital-based practice setting
