American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring 2 years of pediatric ICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Details- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a pediatric hospital
- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
- Care for patients with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and post cardiac catheterization cases
- Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital setting required
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and acute airway care
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and arterial line management
- Experience with continuous sedation and IV vasopressor administration
- Pediatric dosage calculation skills required
- Two supervisory/manager-titled references required at time of consideration
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, including those with congenital heart disease and post-cardiac surgery needs
- Floating to other units is a standard expectation for this facility
- Must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
- Local candidates are not permitted for this position regardless of distance from the facility
