American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU/PICU experience and OH or Compact RN licensure.
Details- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a pediatric hospital
- 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on RTO and unit needs
- Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
- Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital required
- 2 supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one being manager/supervisor titled
- Experience with ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, and arterial line management
- Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, hemodynamic monitoring, and post cardiac surgery care
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
- Experience with continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including those with congenital heart disease and post cardiac surgery needs
- Must be prepared to float to different units as part of standard facility expectations
- Candidates must not have worked in a permanent position at this facility within the last 2 years
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this role
