American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring 2 years of pediatric CVPICU/PICU experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a children's hospital
• 3x12 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on RTO and unit needs
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Cares for patients with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, ECMO, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD)

• Active OH state or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital required (hard stop requirement)
• Skilled in ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with CRRT, continuous sedation, and IV vasopressors
• Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and isolation precautions/PPE
• Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor or manager (charge references not accepted)

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery care
• Floating to other units is a standard expectation and point of emphasis at this facility
• No call/no-show policy strictly enforced
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not eligible for this position
