American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN with at least 2 years of MICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
• Patient ratios of approximately 1:1-2
• 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, rotating between day and night shifts every 4 weeks
• Day shift hours 7:00-19:30 and night shift hours 19:00-7:30
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA certifications only)
• Proficient in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role;
  Charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted

• Care for patients with conditions including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
• Utilize specialized equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, and continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia
• Experience with externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
• Each patient room equipped with a boom lift
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at this health system
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
