American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float pool position at a teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

• MS/Tele Float Pool position within a teaching hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Float required within OSU facilities
• Some weekends and holidays required
• Requires IV start and telemetry monitoring skills
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team involvement
• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injury preferred
• Wound care/wound vac and IV insulin protocol experience
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including orthopedic, GI, renal, and neurological cases
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location promptly after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet requiring urgent completion
• RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at this health system
