American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night shift ER Holding position requiring 2 years of ER experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Emergency Department setting, specifically ER Holding
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, with ER, ER Holding, or MS/Tele experience also acceptable
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response teams preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and oxygen administration preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second acceptable from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted

• Provide emergency and holding area nursing care across a broad patient population
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Candidates must complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting as soon as possible after accepting an offer due to strict compliance timelines
• RTO must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former employees eligible for assignment consideration after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
