American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring 2 years of experience and previous travel experience.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30), 36 hours/week
• MS/Tele Float Pool position with floating required within the hospital system
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and telemetry cases, including orthopedic, neurological, and renal conditions
• Some weekends and holidays required
• EPIC charting system required
• IV starts and telemetry monitoring required

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration preferred
• Experience managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role;
  Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Provide nursing care across medical/surgical and telemetry units as part of a float pool team
• Candidates must complete Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting urgently upon accepting an offer, as fingerprint background checks include lifetime searches
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at this health system
• RTO must be built into contract at time of consideration and limited to 7 days or less
