American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of MICU experience and critical care skills including ventilator and dysrhythmia management.
Details- Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), 19:00-7:30
- Epic charting system required
- Floating to other units within the health system may be required as needed
- Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of MICU experience required
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience with continuous IV sedation
- Experience in care of ventilated patients and ventilator management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; a charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; coworker references not accepted
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill medical ICU patients, including those requiring ventilator support and continuous IV sedation
- Monitor and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergencies as needed
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former employees are eligible to apply for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments at any of its hospital locations
- RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration, limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer, including lifetime background check searches
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
