American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a children's hospital
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
- 8-week contract length
- Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
- Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
- Active RN license (OH or Compact) in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric hospital experience required
- 2 supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one manager/supervisor titled reference
- Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care
- Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, and post cardiac surgery care preferred
- Experience with CRRT preferred
- Skilled in managing continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, including post cardiac surgery and congenital heart disease cases
- Candidates must be prepared to float to multiple units as needed based on facility requirements
- Must not have worked in a permanent position at this facility within the last 2 years
- Local candidates are not permitted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
- No RTO (requested time off) permitted during this contract
