American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level III/IV NICU position requiring 2 years of NICU experience and OH or compact RN licensure.
Requirements- Active OH or compact RN license required in hand
- BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience and 2 years total Level III/IV NICU experience required
- Proficiency with IV therapy, arterial line management, UAC/UVC, and central line care
- Experience with ventilator management, high frequency ventilation, and oscillators
- Experience with neonatal emergency medications, anti-seizure medications, and neonatal dosage calculations
- Experience attending high-risk deliveries
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
- Level III/IV NICU setting caring for neonates ranging from under 24 weeks to over 34 weeks gestation
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- 8-week contract length
- Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
- Required to float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, MS, and occasionally ED as needed
- Required to float to BPD NICU, caring for patients with frequent trach care needs and heavy parent involvement
- Required to float to additional campuses including Riverside, St. Ann's, Grant Medical, Dublin Methodist, and Doctors Hospital
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide comprehensive NICU care including respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurologic, and infectious disease management for neonatal patients
- Support high-risk deliveries and provide specialized care for conditions such as NEC, gastroschisis, and neonatal sepsis
- Facility requests a makeup shift within the same pay period for any call-out or absence
- Two-part interview process including a float pool leader screening and a possible unit manager interview
- Candidates must not have worked in a permanent position at the facility within the past 2 years
- No local candidates permitted within a 60-mile radius
- No RTO permitted for this assignment
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
