American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a valid OH or compact RN license and at least 2 years of PCU experience.

• Work within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Weekday schedule with occasional weekends and rotating holidays
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Utilize Epic for documentation

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or strong Stepdown experience required (ICU experience not required)
• Minimum 1 year of charge RN experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Provide direct patient care within a progressive care/stepdown telemetry environment
• Must complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer due to strict compliance timelines
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible to return as travelers only after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of the health system are ineligible for travel assignments at this facility
• Requested time off must be submitted and built into the contract prior to start, limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers may be considered, as travel experience is not required
