American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a compact or OH RN license and at least 1 year of stepdown/PCU experience.

• Provide care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Weekday schedule with occasional weekends and rotating holidays
• Patient ratio approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Utilizes IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of Stepdown/PCU experience (ICU experience not required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor;
  Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory support such as nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
• Candidates must be prepared to complete Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting promptly after accepting an offer
• First-time travelers may be considered as travel experience is not required for this role
