This AAHA-accredited hospital has been part of the Columbus community since 2008 and has earned a 4.9-star Google rating from the clients it serves. With nine DVMs on the team, the Medical Lead will be joining an established practice with the scale to share clinical knowledge, support colleagues and make a meaningful difference to how medicine is delivered across the hospital.
The practice offers a broad range of small animal care, from wellness and preventative medicine through advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures. This variety gives the Medical Lead the opportunity to remain hands‑on clinically while helping the team approach cases consistently, develop their skills and maintain high standards of patient care.
Alongside clinical work, this role is about getting to know the doctors, understanding where they want to develop and giving them the guidance to get there. The Medical Lead will coach associate veterinarians, lead regular doctor meetings and work closely with the Practice
Manager on team development and hospital operations. There is also scope to shape medical protocols, support externs and strengthen mentorship across the team.
For a veterinarian ready to take the next step into leadership, this offers the chance to influence the direction of an established team without stepping away from the clinical work that makes the role worthwhile.
