Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Project Specialist for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH
. The role manages quality assurance projects and qualifies ingredients within the supply chain to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
$21/hour to $23/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee quality assurance projects related to Nutrition Science, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Qualify ingredients within the supply chain by assessing documentation and verifying adherence to quality protocols.
- Conduct audits of suppliers and manufacturing processes, reviewing paperwork and ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, procurement, production) to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Analyze quality data and generate reports on metrics, trends, and project progress for leadership review.
- Identify and resolve quality issues during the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition science, food science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the nutrition or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for ingredient qualification.
- Experience conducting audits and managing quality assurance projects across supply chain processes.
