Graduate Research Associate to engage in mentored research and training activities related to both basic and applied Biomedical Informatics, including but not limited to: bioinformatics, translational bioinformatics, imaging informatics, clinical research informatics, clinical/medical informatics, and public health informatics. Such activities will involve a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates an understanding and use of computer/information science, biomedical informatics, basic biological sciences, clinical science, and population science theories and methods.
Provides apprenticeship experience along with financial support. This apprenticeship complements formal instruction offered in the graduate program and gives the student practical, personal experience that can be gained only by performing research activities. It is expected that graduate associate responsibilities will not interfere with a student's reasonable progress toward completion of the graduate degree. Specific responsibilities may include applying and mastering research concepts, practices, or methods of scholarship;
conducting experiments; organizing or analyzing data; writing reports; presenting findings; collaborating with others in preparing publications; and conducting institutional research for an academic or administrative unit.
Must be enrolled in a degree‑granting program uires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre‑employment physical, including a drug screen.
