Research Scientist - Comprehensive Cancer Center – Join Inside Higher Ed to work with The Yang Lab at The Ohio State University.

The Yang Lab, part of the Department of Medicine | School Biomedical Sciences Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics, is recruiting a highly motivated and creative Research Scientist to advance studies in tumor immunology, tumor microenvironment, and tumor immunotherapy
. The focus includes investigating tumor‑infiltrating immune cells and the dynamic interactions between tumor cells, stromal cells, and the immune microenvironment.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing cancer genetics research, employing state‑of‑the‑art techniques such as CRISPR screening, multi‑omics, high‑parameter flow cytometry, in vivo models, and translational studies; developing new laboratory methods; writing grant proposals; managing grant budgets; supervising graduate students and junior investigators; and presenting findings at conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent with a major in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field; extensive research experience required.
  • Strong record of publications and presentations demonstrating competence as a researcher.
  • Experience with mouse models, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques.
