Temporary (Fixed Term)

First Shift, June 1 – July 31, 2026 (flexible beginning and end dates)

• Work with Stone Lab Research Coordinator and visiting professors on a research project focusing on an environmental issue affecting the Lake Erie region.
• Review relevant literature, conduct the research (sample collection aboard Stone Laboratory research boats on Lake Erie, hiking in forests and meadows, or other outdoor environment).
• May work with chemicals or handle vertebrates based on the research project.
• Conduct data analysis, report writing, attend weekly program meetings, give oral presentation at the end of the program.
• Maintain a clean laboratory, follow laboratory safety protocols, perform other duties as assigned.

• A current college student who will not graduate before July 2026, majors in biology, ecology, environmental science, engineering, or a similar field.
• Valid driver's license required.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
