Senior Reporting and Analytics Analyst – Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Position SummaryThe Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for the Senior Reporting and Analytics Analyst position (“Senior Researcher”). A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting. The focus will be on survey design, instrumentation, and administration; and on analysis and reporting of weighted survey data. The individual may also support the qualitative research component of mixed-methods projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with quantitative data collection by designing survey questionnaires and research protocols.
- Test survey instruments and run data checks on collected data.
- Track progress on survey fielding and troubleshoot issues with response rates, data quality, and survey administration.
- Participate in survey data collection via telephone interviews.
- Assist with research documentation, including methodology reports and survey crosswalks.
- Conduct analysis of weighted survey data and compose reports and presentation materials.
- Perform statistical analyses using survey or administrative data.
- Assist in developing qualitative protocols.
- Conduct qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews or other methods and assist with qualitative data analysis.
- Present results to project sponsors and other audiences.
- Conduct literature searches and literature reviews.
- Serve as liaison to project partners and sponsors.
- Assist with the development of protocols and composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications.
- Contribute to project leadership and administration as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree (master’s or PhD).
- Successful completion of a background check.
- May be required to complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Interview candidates may be asked to provide a writing sample and a code sample.
- Experience with survey research methods.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience programming survey instruments using platforms such as REDCap or Qualtrics.
- Experience with R.
- Experience with qualitative data collection and/or analysis (semi-structured interviews, focus groups, document analysis).
