Post Doctoral Scholar - Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Guo Laboratory at The Ohio State University is seeking a motivated Post-Doctoral Researcher, eager to support research studying the molecular mechanism of tumor cells manipulating glucose, glutamine and lipid metabolism.

The successful candidate will leverage a combination of advanced molecular,
* in vitro*, and systems methodologies to advance our understanding of the key molecular targets in cancer metabolism and translate it to the clinic. This position provides the opportunity of strong mentorship and a close, multidisciplinary collaborative research environment.  
** Primary Responsibilities
*** Lead the state-of-the-art research using genetic mouse models for evaluating therapeutic efficacy, histology, and advanced imaging assays for glioblastoma research.
* Utilize murine and patient derived cell lines for
* in vitro
* modeling to examine tumor cell lipid metabolism.
* Prepare figures, manuscripts, abstracts, and grant submission materials for publication and/or presentation.
* Present research findings at lab meetings, institutional seminars, and conferences/symposiums.
* Mentor graduate students and/or junior trainees as appropriate.  
** Required Qualifications
*** Ph.D. in
* Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology,
* or in a comparable field or discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research setting.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
** Preferred Experience
*** Prior research experience in: neuroscience, cell and molecular biology, cancer biology.
* Experience in glioblastoma mouse models, signal transduction, metabolism, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry, organoid culturing, and genetic mouse model generation/maintenance.
* Experience in mouse bioluminescence imaging is ideal.
* Track record of peer-reviewed publications
* Prior experience and comfort presenting research.## Additional Information:##
