What you'll Do as a Financial Analyst

• Review, audit & code daily accounting transactions for entry into Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS).
• Post transactions &/or payments.
• Provides guidance to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) sections & district staff on fiscal matters.
• Conducts complex reconciliation of records, monitoring expenditure &/or threshold amounts.
• Prepare daily deposits &/or enter deposits into OAKS.
• Process Intra-State Transfer Vouchers (ISTV) for reimbursements.
• Utilize Quickbooks Pro or similar software to perform various fiscal functions.

Qualifications

Option 1

• 30 months experience or training in accounting & finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Option 2

• Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
• 6 months experience or training in accounting & finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Option 3

• 12 months experience as Financial Associate, 66561.

Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

NOTE:

Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
