OverviewWe are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive who can build on Ubuntu’s widespread adoption to develop trusted, profitable commercial relationships with enterprises in their territorial market. You will work closely with product managers, marketing, field engineers and customer success to expand our reach in open source and cloud solutions.
Responsibilities- Represent Canonical and its full suite of solutions within your territory.
- Create and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting.
- Develop new pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events.
- Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual booking targets.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.
- Manage customer relationships throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Collaborate with field engineers to propose solutions that solve customer business problems.
- Work with customer success to identify growth opportunities.
- Establish productive relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
- Experience selling open source technology, enterprise software or technology solutions.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and new account wins.
- Detail‑oriented with effective follow‑up.
- Strong written and spoken English; additional language skills a plus for your target market.
- Professional discipline and self‑motivation in a distributed team environment.
- Willingness to travel regionally for client engagement, industry conferences, and company events twice a year.
- Vertical experience in finance, telco, health, energy, public sector or technology.
- Experience speaking at conferences or industry events.
- Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly in‑person team sprints.
- Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
