Position: Sr. Sales Leader - Growth Driver, Industrial Water Treatment

Sr. Sales Leader - Growth Driver is a water treatment sales position focused on growing business and driving Chem Treat’s market position within a geography or industry. The role primarily focuses on acquiring new customers while also managing business won. The candidate will leverage existing knowledge of technical water treatment systems to identify, prioritize, analyze markets, and develop sales plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Familiarity with chemical water treatment systems and applications
  • Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.
  • Increase sales and profits by meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
  • Retain existing customer base by fostering the Chem Treat value certification and earning return on investment while actively generating new accounts.
  • Develop key relationships with customers through identification and engagement of decision makers, prospect and cold call generation, frequent follow up, strategic questioning, and root issue analysis to identify customer needs.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prospect and cold call generation of new customers
  • Create and present effective proposals to prospective customers
  • Communicate the Chem Treat value proposition to prospects
  • Help transition new business to the account management team when applicable
  • Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with Chem Treat’s entertainment policy
  • Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Self‑motivated with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent skills
  • Industry knowledge specific to water treatment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science;
    Engineering or technical degree required or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in water treatment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel dependent on size of assigned territory
  • May require long hours and varied work schedules
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, looking, hearing, smelling, and use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects and computer keyboards
  • Requires reaching with hands and arms, squatting, turning, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 60 pounds; sometimes required to maneuver drums weighing 250–800 pounds
  • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods
  • Occasional driving both short and long distances within DOT regulations
  • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform essential functions

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
  • Required to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) for deliveries (eye, hearing, respiratory protection, apron, steel‑toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, face shields)
  • Occasional extreme heat conditions
  • Required to use ear plugs for hearing protection
  • Both indoor and outdoor sites may have high noise levels
  • Site location may be at a boiler house, cooling tower, water plant, wastewater plant, or a process area
  • Use of hazardous chemicals is routine
  • Collaborative working environment; position touches all levels within the customer organization
  • Trust and respect for customers and Chem Treat field and leadership teams

US ONLY

Compensation range for this role is $110,000 – $140,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for commission pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
