Position SummaryThe focus of the Columbus, Ohio based Sales Representative, Trauma and Emergency Medicine, is making connections with clinicians and economic buyers. The role involves driving results by managing relationships and serving as the key point of contact with emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, interventionalists, nurses, and paramedics in the operating room and acute care hospitals from initial lead outreach to order fulfilment of Teleflex’s portfolio of emergency medicine products.
The selling portfolio includes the Arrow® EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System and Quik Clot®, Quik Clot Control+®.
The job requires initiative and self-direction, with results achieved through people. The role requires the ability to influence and persuade, manage multiple priorities, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented environment. This is not an on-call position.
Principal Responsibilities- Prospect and execute against new business opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain a detailed, strategic, and actionable territory business plan while managing multiple priorities.
- Grow market share and utilization among existing accounts and secure new users within the geography.
- Exceed territory sales quota through focused efforts to achieve goals despite obstacles.
- Ensure revenue and profitability goals through effective organizational and time management skills.
- Lead customer conversations, build strong relationships based on trust, and develop Key Opinion Leaders.
- Build champions and navigate the VAC process to influence clinical preference practices.
- Take disruptive technology from no share to full share.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority; collaborate with leadership to drive contracting success.
- Demonstrate strong product, clinical, and market understanding; maintain competency in all product indications and applications.
- Educate customers on safe and efficacious use of Teleflex emergency medicine products via trainings, in-services, and trade shows.
- Understand competitors’ technology and strategy and navigate competitive conversations.
- Apply healthcare economics knowledge, including GPOs and IDNs, and understand contracting processes.
- Use and Power BI to maintain account profiles, pipeline, and accurate forecasts; analyze business to grow territory sales.
