We are seeking a passionate Vice President of Sales to lead our sales strategy and drive revenue growth across our organization. This executive-level position will oversee all aspects of sales operations, including developing strategic plans, managing key customer relationships, and expanding our market presence. The VP of Sales will play a critical role in positioning our hot‑dip galvanizing services within the construction, engineering, and architectural communities while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Travel is required to service and expand our target market.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Identify emerging market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with interstate facility General Managers to align sales objectives with overall business goals.
- Assist General Managers in building, mentoring, and leading high‑performing sales teams.
- Establish clear performance metrics and accountability standards.
- Foster a culture of interdepartmental collaboration, innovation, continuing education, and customer focus.
- Drive new business development through networking, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Expand relationships with key accounts and ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Represent the company at national and regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Promote hot‑dip galvanizing solutions to architects, engineers, and contractors through educational presentations and seminars.
- Oversee marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams to support sales objectives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to inform decision‑making.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and documentation of client interactions.
- Work closely with operations to guarantee seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive sales experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Proven ability to implement and manage CRM systems (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing, building, and/or industrial replacement parts. (Steel/construction industry experience preferred.)
- Willingness to learn and embrace the hot‑dip galvanizing industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, team environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to follow tasks through to completion, resolve conflicts, and align cross‑functional teams.
- The ability to manage and generate your own and company provided leads.
- Strong networking skills along with prospecting and business development experience is required.
- Consultative, educational or solution‑based sales experience.
- Must be willing to travel both locally and overnight.
