Overview

The School of Environment and Natural Resources at the Ohio State University invites applications for a Visiting Fellow position. This fellowship focuses on advancing research in conservation and regenerative agriculture, specifically examining the effects of no‑tillage and crop diversification on soil functions and the sequestration of soil organic carbon.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review on soil health impacts of no‑till farming and complex crop rotations in South America, with emphasis on Brazil (40%).
  • Perform statistical analyses on datasets provided by the fellow (20%).
  • Participate in staff meetings and present research findings at seminars (20%).
  • Engage with other visiting scholars and graduate students to foster collaboration (10%).
  • Improve proficiency in written and spoken English (10%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Soil Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • Strong background in soil health, conservation agriculture, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
