Job Title: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Job DescriptionProvide a well‑designed, scientifically proven, collaborative training program based on sound physiological principles to our Buckeye student‑athletes. This includes sport‑specific focus, safe and productive physical training, and experimentally proven methods. This should occur by means of a periodic plan as the primary emphasis with the goal of maximizing the physical potential of the student‑athlete and reducing injury risk. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of our sport performance department, The Ohio State Athletic Department policies, the university, Big 10 Conference, and the NCAA.
Maintain certification from the NSCA and/or CSCCa. CSCCa membership and certification is the gold standard. Foster an environment that is committed to the principles of ethical conduct, integrity, and excellence. Will be measured on the execution of these responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2‑4 years of relevant experience preferred. Current CPR/AED certification, current NSCA and/or CSCCa certification.
Desired QualificationsMaster's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience designing and implementing program design at the NCAA Division I level. Strong background training a variety of sports, developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs.
