Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the supervision of any assigned shift in the absence of the normal shift supervisor. Must be knowledgeable of the unique security department operations of all three shifts at the Medical center and be willing and able to step in and function in a supervisory capacity at any time; will assist Department Administration in the management of the patient property and investigation functions.
Supervises the operation of assigned working shift. Assists in overseeing and managing patient property and valuables as well as the lost and found functions of the department. Assists in the investigation of patient property losses or thefts, Medical Center thefts, and employee accidents assigned to the Security Department for follow up. Insures complete, accurate reports with recommendations, as appropriate, are submitted following all investigations.
Reports Public Safety and Security concerns and performs all other security department functions as necessary.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Certification or vocational training may be required.
- Associate degree in a relevant field may be preferred.
- 4 years of relevant experience required.
- 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License; must serve 12 months probationary period from date of employment.
- Selected candidate is subject to successful completion of a psychological evaluation.
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
