Security Guard

Job Description

Part‑time, 24 hours a week (2nd Shift: 4:00 pm‑12:00 am). Position is a security guard at National Church Residences, the nation’s largest provider of affordable senior housing and health care services.

• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, assisting residents, staff, and guests as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, including alarms and 911 calls.
• Investigate and document incidents and suspicious activities.
• Deliver newspapers, maintain common areas, and remove trash.
• Complete shift reports and related paperwork.

• Assist in training new staff.
• Attend in‑service education sessions.

• Maintain a professional, team‑oriented attitude and use effective time management.
• Respect resident rights, report complaints and compliance concerns immediately.
• Follow all policies, including corporate compliance and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum age 18.
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience.
• Strong communication skills, English proficiency, and customer service orientation.
• Works independently with general supervision.
• Environment generally good, with occasional exposure to noise, odors, illness, or disruptive behavior.
