Rentokil is hiring for a Full-Time Construction Installer, preferably in Dayton, Ohio or Columbus, OH, or anywhere within the state of OH. This is a traveling position with a minimum of 2 weeks of travel at a time, typically 8–12 hours per day, up to 50+ hours per week. Transportation, lodging and meals expenses are covered during travel.

What do our Construction Installers do?

Construction Installers use hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products such as bird netting and spikes in commercial facilities (distribution centers, transportation facilities, and aircraft hangars). Work is performed at average heights of 40 ft, primarily in aerial lifts, and also on roofs and scaffolding.

Installers perform bird control services safely and according to company guidelines and practices. The service is performed on customer property to meet or exceed expectations. You will maintain good customer relations with district offices and service customers, communicating actions taken while servicing their property and keeping premises and furnishings clean. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate service standards on all accounts you service.

  • Train company colleagues in respect to bird and bat applications
  • Discuss any unusual circumstances or problems with your supervisor and/or sales representative
  • Participate in group meetings to develop new and better ways to meet customer needs
  • Identify customer bird problems and apply preventive steps where no problems exist
  • Complete initial technical training and participate in updates to stay current
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle in cleanliness and good working order
  • Assist sales and management in reviewing accounts and upgrading as appropriate
  • Complete customer and administrative reports in a timely and proper manner
  • Attain a productivity level based on training and account type, including proper use of power equipment and aerial work platforms
  • Participate in off-hours and weekend services when requested
  • Tolerate various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and dusty locations
  • Use application and inspection equipment and small hand and power tools
What do you need?
  • Flexible with working hours; able to travel across national coverage areas; extended hours (50–60 per week) including nights and weekends when required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb structures; ascend/descend stairs; balance/work on ladders up to 60'
  • Able to work at heights
  • Acquire a certification in Aerial Work Platforms and use of Hilti power actuated equipment
  • Operate aerial work platforms
  • Work off/balance on fixed and swing scaffolding
  • Obtain any required industry licenses
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record check
  • Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
Compensation

Base Pay Range:
Hourly $13.00 - $23.00

Starting pay falls within the range and may vary based on location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may include overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment where applicable.
