Generally weekend work, but some weekday evenings required.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated High Voltage Electrician to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on various building electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical power systems and combustion equipment. This role requires hands‑on expertise in electrical testing, repair, and preventative maintenance, along with a commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Installation, Repair & Maintenance – Perform hands‑on installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of a wide range of building electrical equipment.
- Electrical Power Systems – Maintain, repair, and install electrical power systems, including low, medium, and high voltage circuits.
- Combustion Equipment Support – Provide electrical support for diesel and natural gas generators, and automatic transfer switches.
- Equipment & Components Management – Work with power transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and cables to ensure optimal operation.
- Electrical Testing – Conduct tests on electrical systems (power factor, insulation resistance, functional operation, etc.) to verify system integrity and compliance.
- Test & Calibration – Use test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters for precise testing and calibration.
- Technical Documentation Interpretation – Interpret floor plans, equipment schedules, and single‑line diagrams for task execution.
- Workplace Organization – Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Safety Compliance – Adhere to safe work practices, uphold a secure environment, and report violations to the supervisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with test equipment:
Power Factor meter, Ductor, Megger, CT Ratio & Saturation meter, Infrared Camera. - Knowledge of equipment:
Circuit breakers, Low/Medium/High Voltage systems, Transformers, Switchgear, Motors, PTs & CCVTs.
- Multi‑Talented.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
