Lead Service Technician

What to Expect:

The Lead Service Technician is responsible for providing technical direction and assistance to elevator personnel in servicing elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Assists in training elevator technician staff.

* Supports company safety program, which includes performing safety audits when necessary and stressing the importance of safety to all employees.

* Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure the work is being completed efficiently.

* Identifies issues that could potentially affect the overall reliability of the customer's equipment.

* Works with branch manager to address customer's needs.

* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.

* Maintains strong familiarity of industry products by reviewing equipment updates and supplier goods.

* Assists in conducting inspection of elevators and related devices to ensure their effective and efficient operation and conformance to safety regulations and OSHA requirements.

* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* At least five years of elevator service experience required

* Elevator mechanic license

* Valid driver's license and safe driving record

Physical Requirements:

* Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service elevators

* Must be able to visually inspect elevators

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

* Prolonged periods of standing and walking

* Valid driver's license and safe driving record
