The ISP Structured Cabling Technician supports installation of fiber and copper cabling materials for Telecom builds, including large and small scale buildouts across overhead or underfloor infrastructure such as ladder racks, basket trays, fiber guides, J-hooks, or EMT.

• Maintain a safe and controlled environment; understand and follow all site protocols during activities.
• Apply best practices for cabling routing, diversity requirements, dressing standards, and related materials.
• Arrive on time, prepared to work daily with required tools and PPE; demonstrate productivity and adapt to team suggestions.
• Work cooperatively with other trades to create a productive work environment.
• Respect safety and security protocols related to industry and site‑specific access in campus and data center environments.
• Keep work sites clean and organized throughout the workday.
• Read and adhere to written scopes of work, engineered drawings, patching matrices, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate and communicate activities with other employees, departments, and management.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools: snips, socket sets, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, strippers, and crimpers.
• Knowledge of cable installation practices: dressing, lacing, structured cabling implementation, simple network design, and redundancy concepts.
• Operate scissor lifts and/or other simple machinery used in ISP builds.
• Use technical devices and software or applications to support field work and communication (laptops, tablets, cell phones).
• Understand fiber optic and copper cable designs, types, and manufacturer specifications.
• Apply basic termination methods and connector handling for copper and fiber.
• Label and organize cabling projects efficiently with labeling equipment and applications.
• Troubleshoot cable testing processes, validate documentation, and use testing equipment.

• Must be able to travel.
• Competency with measuring tools including lasers; precise following of directions and implementation.
• Good work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and sound decision‑making.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift 75 lbs.

• High School/GED with 1–5 years of relevant job experience.
• Relevant experience in similar industry or essential duties.
• Field of Study:
  Electronics, Telecommunications, Construction or Project Management.
