Job Title:

Carpenter

We are looking for both trim carpenters and framers.

Essential Functions of the Position
  • Prepares reconstruction plans by following company procedures for returning a structure back to its original state before the damage occurred.
  • Produces quality repairs by following company standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  • Determines material requirements and dimensions of structures by studying blueprints, sketches, building plans, estimates, and/or work orders.
  • Constructs and/or repairs by marking, cutting, and assembling materials; shaping materials to measurements; assembling and fastening using carpenter's hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
  • Constructs, repairs, restores, and installs structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, shelves, and roofs. Performs general carpentry work.
  • Projects and works with structural framing of buildings in both wood and metal, including repairs, maintenance, and demolition of horizontal and vertical structures.
  • Demonstrates a positive image of the company to staff and clients, including effective oral and written communication and visual presentation. Ensures the team's appearance and activities support this image at job sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications

    Ability to:

  • Apply skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood or related materials.
  • Estimate time and materials needed for work projects.
  • Accurately measure.
  • Perform handyman and building maintenance tasks.
  • Use all hand tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
  • Assist in problem-solving and improving company efficiency.
  • Work on call and in emergency situations as needed.
  • Generate accurate information within reasonable time frames.
  • Complete work in a timely, scheduled, and profitable manner.
  • Apply safety procedures daily to prevent injuries.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and vendors.
