Position SummaryPearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to serve and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. This is a fast‑paced, rewarding job best suited for responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated individuals who are willing to travel and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry. The role is regional; candidates should reside in the Columbus, Ohio area.
CoreResponsibilities
- Maintain cooling systems—diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, or replacing components of entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and perform regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Execute additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond promptly to service calls, including emergency call‑out services.
- Submit timely and accurate daily work reports.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally in accordance with the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
- Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (required).
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including email communication.
- Compliance with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA standards.
- Reside in the Columbus, Ohio area.
- Availability for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs as needed.
- Extensive daily travel within an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnight stays; the company reimburses travel costs and provides per diem.
- Travel to remote work sites as required.
- Work outdoors exposed to ambient temperatures.
- Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Clear a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). exam.
Hourly: $30.00–$38.00 hourly/DOE
Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location.
Base Pay Range: $30 USD – $38 USD
