Position

Locate Technician at Grid Hawk LLC

• Locate underground facilities including telephone, electric, cable television, gas, fiber optic, water, and sewer lines using transmitter and other equipment.
• Work independently or in a team environment under the supervision of an assigned supervisor.
• Observe, locate, mark and document underground and exposed utility locations.
• Interpret job order tickets, blueprints and maps to efficiently route and perform duties.
• Perform routine and emergency/on‑call locates during regular, overtime and holiday hours as required to meet customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with management, contractors and utility customers to ensure a damage‑free environment.
• Maintain knowledge of technology and tools required for the job.
• Work in and walk over all types of terrain in construction zones and residential, commercial, industrial, and rural areas in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalency (GED).
• State‑issued driver’s license.
• Ability to problem‑solve and interpret multiple types of prints.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and walk/stand for multiple hours a day.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with vacuum trucks (A+).
• Pass a background screening with no violations within the last 5 years.
• Pass a DOT drug test.
