The Durable Restoration Company is looking to hire a Skilled Mason who is experienced with historic mortars and has a broad understanding of traditional masonry construction. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has a drive for high-quality restoration and preservation.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be knowledgeable in best practices and processes commonly used to achieve a quality final product.
• Must be able to contribute to the goal of completing projects on time, and at or under budget.
• Must be reliable with a positive outlook.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
• Must be able and willing to travel as needed for 2 weeks at a time. (Travel expenses and per-diem paid.)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

PREFERRED TRAITS:

• Experience with historic and lime-based mortars.
• Knowledge of traditional building techniques.
• Ability to work through unexpected problems.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive worksite.
• Knowledge of skills and processes of other traditional trades is a plus.
