This is a developing-level facilities maintenance position responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance and assisting with the upkeep of building equipment and systems. - Inspect assigned equipment and areas and report deficiencies, unsafe conditions, or needed repairs.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment appropriate to the employee's training and experience.
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly mechanical rooms, shops, storage areas, and work locations.
- Assist experienced technicians with facility emergencies and equipment failures.
- Participate in technical and safety training to develop additional building-maintenance skills.
- Participate in the department's on-call rotation as assigned and appropriately trained.
- Follow applicable OSHA, NFPA, Court safety procedures, and Facilities Management policies.
