Commercial Repainting Painter

Pay: $22–$27 per hour
Location: Columbus, OH

Martin Painting & Coating Co. is seeking an experienced commercial painter for repainting projects in commercial buildings and facilities. The successful candidate will have hands-on commercial painting experience and be able to prepare existing surfaces, apply paint professionally, and complete projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Previous commercial painting experience is required. This position is not intended for entry-level applicants, apprentices, or helpers.

• Perform repainting work on commercial buildings and facilities.

• Assess existing painted surfaces and identify preparation needs.

• Scrape, sand, clean, and prepare surfaces before applying new paint.

• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and appropriate painting equipment.

• Complete touch-ups and detailed painting.

• Mask and protect floors, fixtures, equipment, and surrounding surfaces.

• Maintain consistent coverage and a professional finish.

• Maintain painting tools and equipment.

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

• Assist with jobsite setup, material organization, and cleanup.

• Follow project specifications and required safety procedures.

• Work safely from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding when required.

• Previous commercial painting experience is required.

• Demonstrated experience with commercial repainting and surface preparation.

• Strong brush and roller application skills.

• Ability to identify surface conditions that require additional preparation.

• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday.

• Comfortable working at heights when required.

• Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance.

• Reliable transportation required.

• Smartphone required for timesheets and work-related communication.

• Availability to work at least two weekends per month.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to jobsite safety.

Pay: $22–$27 per hour.
