Correction Lieutenant - 3rd Shift

Job Description What you’ll do at DBH- Supervises correction officers assigned to shift being covered
- Recommends approval/disapproval of officer leave requests
- Completes shift reports for submittal to Captain
- Completes annual and probationary Performance Evaluations as assigned
- Supports Nursing Leadership on shift as needed
- Train officers in the security operations at Timothy
B. Moritz Forensic Unit - Monitors & coordinates shift security operations & documents activities
- Makes daily inspection rounds to observe shift activity & to ensure compliance with all security, safety, fire, health, sanitation & other hospital regulations
- Response to emergency codes to support staff & patients
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 11 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule

Normal shift hours are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am. Schedules may be changed to meet operational needs outside of the posted general working hours.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D.; 2 years training or 2 years experience in enforcement of security measures for detention of felons or consumers who are criminally insane in a controlled environment; 6 months training or 6 months experience in supervisory principles/techniques or providing work direction & training to other employees.
