This role will be filled in a hybrid capacity, with in-office collaboration in our Columbus, OH office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities- As a Software Engineer, you will focus on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications.
- Code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.
- Develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
- Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Uses Dev Sec Ops practices, tooling and techniques.
- Adopts continuous improvement and learning.
- Handles project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
May Perform Other Responsibilities As Assigned.
Qualifications- Education:
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree. - Experience:
One or more years of technology experience. - Knowledge, Abilities and
Skills:
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, such as competencies and experiences, may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Director and HR Officer.
