Sr Engineer, Software Engineer; Test Automation Developer

This role will be filled in a hybrid capacity, with collaboration taking place in our Columbus OH office 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) per week.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Engineer (Test Automation Developer) to join our Codebenders line, supporting the Telematics Smart Products Experience s role will focus on test automation for large, diverse, multi-system initiatives, driving quality and efficiency across complex integrations.

• Design and implement test automation frameworks for multi-system projects.
• Perform card-level testing, test case planning, and optimize test efficiencies.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and ensure seamless integration testing.
• Contribute to test community forums, sharing best practices and leveraging AI-driven solutions for test expansion and effectiveness.

• Strong automation mindset with proven experience in test automation development.
• Hands‑on experience with Ruby/Cucumber and other automation tools.
• Proficiency in API testing (Postman or similar tools).
• Experience with Kafka validation and automation.
• Solid understanding of test planning, execution, and dependency coordination.

• Working knowledge of defect tracking tool/s
• Experience with CI/CD integration for automated test pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-based testing approaches for efficiency and coverage.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom‑built applications.

In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

• Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
• Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Uses Dev Sec Ops  practices, tooling and techniques.
• Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
• Manages project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Education Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non‑traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
