Job OverviewThe Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a skilled Salesforce developer for its Application Development Team. As a Salesforce Developer, you will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
Responsibilities- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable and secure applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and development processes.
- Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure high‑quality, maintainable code.
- Managing multiple priorities efficiently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Leading and supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing, system integration, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Staying current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends; proactively recommending enhancements and improvements.
- Collaborating with administrators, analysts, and other developers to ensure seamless integration with other systems and platforms.
- 60 months (5 years) of combined work experience in any combination of roles that assure requirements are defined and approved, perform code reviews, and fulfill application development standards, including 12 months of primary technology experience on the Salesforce platform.
- Or completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems, plus 42 months of combined experience as above, with 12 months of primary technology experience.
- Or completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems, plus 36 months of combined experience as above, with 12 months of primary technology experience.
- Or an equivalent of the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
